Des Moines Art Classes

Drawing from over 20 years of teaching experience, Shari Baeth provides painting and drawing classes in the Des Moines area for students of all skill levels, ages ten and up. Individualized instruction is given in both private and group classes.

Fees

Group classes -- $120 for 6 weekly 2-hour sessions. Three to six students.

Private lessons -- $275 for 6 weekly 2-hour sessions. These are scheduled on an individual basis.

Teaching Philosophy

Art appreciation is of utmost importance in the artistic development of Shari's students. We are surrounded by art in various forms each day, yet often many don’t recognize or appreciate them in terms of their aesthetic value. Observation of spatial relationships, shape, form, value and color -- in order to “see as an artist sees” – is the basis for the development of artistic skill.
